Calendula, also known as pot marigold or poet's marigold, can grow in USDA hardiness zones 2–11. In zones 9–11, calendula can be grown as a perennial, but in other regions, it's usually grown as an annual. Save seeds to make your candula patch thicker, spreading seeds around the area desired for growth. Let flower heads dry on plants, then carefully remove them and harvest c shaped seeds.
